The wrap up show

It's been kind of a crazy week. Unfortunately it is my Saturday to work so the work week does not end for me when 5:00 rolls around. Typically Saturdays are either really quiet or insanely crazy. There is never a middle ground on Saturdays. My last Saturday was nice and quiet the Saturday before was so hectic that at one point I nearly cried. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there is not a pattern going on here.

I'm thinking a shopping trip is in order for tonight. My sister-in-law's birthday is today and I still need to find her a gift. My mother-in-law's birthday was at the end of August and I still have not finished buying her gift. This year I have been so bad with birthday presents. Both my brother's gifts were bought on time but they did not receive them until a month later. Not for a lack of trying though, I called them on numerous occasions.

I'm just feeling kind of in a rut lately. Most of our friend's have children so they seem to have dropped off the face of the Earth and we have constant B & S time with little interaction with other people. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband and enjoy spending time with him but it would be nice to occasionally have some other people to mingle with. And the bartenders and wait staff at our local watering hole do not count. So Saturday night I am going to a Miche Bag party hosted by a coworker. I typically don't go to her parties because she is friends with a lot of our counter staff (friends before they were hired) and I just don't think it would be professional of me, as a manager, to be hanging out with them. Also, I don't care for some of her friend's. I'm going to give it a go and if it sucks I'll just cut out early but maybe it will turn out to be fun.
