It's been a day. And it's not over yet. I have a half hour left of work, then I'll be home for about an hour then off to my Citizen's Police Academy class. It has been a very interesting class, however when I get home and it's dark I hardly feel like leaving again.
I'm sure my blog is annoying to read. I'm terrible with punctuation. Specifically commas. So if this annoys you I'm sorry.
I wore my hair down today and didn't straighten it. I also wore a headband, it's now hurting my head. But if I take if off now I will have a funny looking imprint in my hair so now I'm stuck with my head hurting for the rest of the night. UGH.
A customer called me today and told me he's a landlord (someplace) and needed to have a large quantity of clothes cleaned, for a tenant, that had gotten mold on it. He told me he had between 100 and 150 pieces and wanted to know if I could give him a discount. So I told him I would take 25% off. Later in the day he brought half of the tenants wardrobe in and it came to $965 AFTER the discount!!! The owners were more then pleased that I gave him a discount to ensure snagging him as a customer. I'm just hoping that he brings the other half of her wardrobe in!
My boss took a vacation day today. That has proved to be more then awesome. A coworker and I even ordered grilled cheeses for lunch from Russ'. YUM! I just couldn't stomach another cold sandwich from home.
I did some research today to see what I could mail to a soldier in Iraq. He's a coworker of S's that I've met once. In fact I met him his last day of work before taking leave. I brought everyone bagels, muffins, coffee and oj. I just thought it would be nice to send him a care package. He asked me on Facebook if S still has his address. Maybe a hint????
I now have 10 minutes left of work. Yet proving that when the boss is away the rest will play. Or however that goes. The day definitely goes faster.
Yeah for Friday tomorrow and it's not my Saturday to work, makes it even better.
