Monday, Monday

The weekend flew by and here we are to Monday again. I guess working Saturday didn't help. Along with too many cocktails Saturday night, resulted in sleeping in too late Sunday AND a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.

We went for dinner Saturday night to Papa Vino's. We have not been there in years and will never venture back there again. The pluses: No wait, service was decent, Bellini was tasty. The minuses: The food took forever, the food was horrible, we were seated by the kitchen and bathrooms. S ordered the chicken marsala. The chicken was breaded, there was a pool of grease around the plate, the sauce no where near resembled a wine sauce, it was more like an Asian sauce, and the noodles had no taste. So he sent it back (a no no unless you are seated near the kitchen where you can keep an eye on your food, as we could) and ordered the chicken fettuccine. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. And really, how can you screw a basic Italian dish up? I forget the name of my dish that I ordered but it wasn't that bad. Oh and the calamari we ordered as an appetizer was amaturist compared to the dish we usually get at Caraba's. We decided it was the poor man's Italian restaurant.

After my long nap Sunday afternoon I was able to get my gardens cleaned out, flower pots emptied, and garden decos put away. Even with the gardens starting to look pretty shabby, it's hard to cut all those plants down when just a few months ago I spend all that time, and money, putting those flowers in. But at least it wasn't a totally unproductive weekend.



After work I'm stopping off at Walgreens to pick up a Neti pot. I'm hoping it will clear my sinuses out. I'm just not sure if I can actually use it. But I'm sick of being congested and don't want this to turn into a sinus infection. An owner at my job swears by doing a salt water rinse everyday but up until this point I've told him he's crazy. I think his persistence has paid off though. I'm thinking a saline rinse will be a better solution.
