Day 7 and 8

It was hard to get up and know that we had to leave and drive back home to reality. Back to work, housecleaning, yard work, bill paying and the everyday grindstone.

We met Kevin at Bagelworks for breakfast before our long trip home. Unfortunately Kristen had to drive out of state for a bridal shower and couldn't join us.

We finally left Montana at 9:30 (mtn time) 11:30 time in Michigan. We wanted to get to Fargo, MN see how we feel and decide from there whether or not to press on. We got to Fargo in ten hours and felt we could still go another hour.

Unbeknown to us the town we got to in an hour had all six hotels booked solid. So we drove to the next town. Three hotels all booked. Next town one hotel and it was booked. So we ended driving another hour and a half.

Arriving in St. Cloud, MN tired and hungry we booked a room at the Motel 6 at 12:30 (MI time) And let me tell you, I will NEVER stay at one of these hotels again! I was so skeeved out that I slept with the sheet and a beach towel for a blanket. We got 5 hours of sleep.

We lucked out, there was a Starbucks down the road. I got a coffee and breakfast sandwich and S got a smoothie and breakfast sandwich. We didn't even care that it cost a fortune due to the fact we were so hungry.

The drive through Chicago took forever! But we finally arrived home at 6:50pm. We quick unloaded the car and S hauled but over to Budget to return the car. I picked him up then we went and got Cupid from my parents house.

It was a great trip and we hope to go again next year. There is stuff that we would do differently and some things we would like to do again.
