Ugh, I hate when Aunt Flow (as a coworker always puts it) comes to "visit". I want nothing more then to go home, put on my pj's,curl up on the couch, and watch one of my dvr'd shows.
The clock can not move any more slowly today and due to my in town visitor I don't feel like doing anything more then sitting, as comfortably as I can, in my office chair while staring at my computer.
If the weather wasn't so absolutely terrible I would have drove down to Walgreen's to pick up some Midol to ease some of the suffering. I took two aspirin (only because that's the only thing the cabinet at work had) and we all know that it basically does nothing.
But to stop being such a whiner and cover some other topic. I subbed Tuesday night at the old studio. I had a class of 2 and 3 year olds and they did so good! I was impressed that their teacher even had them doing some tap at the barre. (A rarity at this age due to the fact they usually use it as a thing to hang from) And I had to laugh, when I handed out bean bags to use they were calling them "little pillows" and at one point two of them laid down and put their heads on it.
The other classes did great too. Two private ballet classes, a semi hip hop with a mother and daughter and a class of 12 four and five year olds. Yes 12! But they were very good listeners and only got loud, when we did a bean bag passing game that would go slow and fast, because they would laugh every time it would go fast again.
So I hope she calls me to sub for her classes again because I had a blast and it was such a variety of classes.

Aaaah yes, "little pillows". Kids that age will find the most original uses for anything.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Aunt Flow and kids in the same sentence - C found some of my "mommy" products and decided to stick them to her chest. She also demanded that I show her how a "popper" (tampon) worked. I tried so hard to brush it off, but in the end showed her how the plunger pops the cotton out. She was facinated.
LOL! It's funny how their curious little minds work.
