What a great weekend. Even with having to work Saturday it was just so nice to have the sun out and warm temperatures. Weather well needed before we hibernate for the Winter.
Saturday night we had dinner with another couple. A good friend from high school that I reconnected with after losing touch for sometime. S had met them at my 10 year reunion a few years ago but didn't get a chance to talk a whole lot at the time. Everything went great though and even S said he had a nice time and enjoyed talking with them. They were both glad to have an evening out without their kids.
Afterwards S and I went to the Tavern on Kraft. Our friend J was bar tending and a 40th birthday party was being held. GREAT people watching and I haven't seen that place so packed since New Years Eve.
Sunday we got the leaves all cleaned up. Met the neighbors from across the street, they moved in this Summer. They informed us our neighbors next to us had their garage broken into Friday night! He also talked to the police officer and apparently this is an ongoing thing on our side of Fuller and the other side of Fuller. We told them just to make sure they have dead bolts on all their doors and a motion detector wouldn't hurt either. There is a sheriff that lives next door to them and he told them to get a dog. We have a dog and the neighbors that just got robbed have a dog so we all figure a dog probably wouldn't help much. S got paranoid again and thinks they will be back and is now considering getting a security system. We can not move out of GR fast enough!
We also managed to get a bike ride in Sunday afternoon. We first got lunch at the Cherry Deli and it was fabulous!!! If you have not been there I highly recommend. We rode out through Lowell and Alto, looking for houses of course. We have so many must haves on our list that it's making it hard:
*Acreage
*2+ stall garage and/or pole barn.
*No close neighbors
*Basement
*Gas, no propane
*No basketball court or school in sight
And S has told me the following reasons due to costs also have to be considered:
*Cannot end in Private or Ct.
*No gate on driveway
*Can't be on a lake
