As much as I'm dreading Thanksgiving with the in-laws I do not want to be sick. I got a box of Zicam and am drinking water like it's going out of style. The last time I got a cold I took Zicam and my cold was gone in 3 days.
The outside Christmas decorations were put up on Sunday. It was such a beautiful day I couldn't resist. Why wait and freeze my butt off while doing it?
Yesterday I went and bought a new tree. Nothing fancy just a $60 tree. They come in 3 parts now. No matching color coded branches. They are already attached and are on hinges. Takes a quarter of the time to set the tree up. I might put the decorations on the tree when I get home depending on how I feel.
I did get all the decorations up in the house yesterday. It looks great but I was exhausted after wards. Four large Rubbermaid bins full of decos. I'm not quite sure how I accumulated so much.
I even managed to put together a fantastic meal. This great chicken recipe I found in my Rachel Ray cookbook. You butterfly chicken breasts, top them with blue cheese and toasted pecans. Roll them up and brown them in a skillet and pop them in the oven for another 20 mins or so. Delicious!
I'm tired and not feeling as gourmet today. Thinking it will be a simple mushroom and onion quiche. An easy throw together and pop it in the oven.
Another coworker's bday tomorrow. I picked up a Jello No-Bake dessert. Simple and easy.

We have one of those hingey, three part trees. Except that ours smells like basement so I'm sometimes left with Frebreezing it when I pull it out. So classy, I know.
ReplyDeleteThis year, I think we're going to spring for a real tree. Hot dog.
