Ups and downs

I've been working at my current job for what will be 9 years in January. Three of those years have been in the office. I call myself a receptionist/manager but really it's so much more then that. There really isn't a title that would cover everything.

Thumbs up:

*Laminating: I can use fun colors and clip art and when it comes out through the machine it's all nice and shiny. Except for the rare occasion it gets jammed and I have to start all over.

*Group Sales: I love talking to people, coordinating the deliveries, organizing the maps/paperwork for the drivers.

*Ordering Supplies: It's great to spend someone else's money and go shopping on the internet for things we need.

*Bills: I love entering them in the computer and stuffing them to mail.

*Paychecks: Every Wednesday I get to pass the checks out to all the employees in the plant. It's nice to be able to say hi to everyone and get out of the office.


Thumbs down:

*Putting the supplies away: The supply room is always scorching hot!

*Stamping mail: It's tedious.....

*Answering the phone: When it's a pissed off customer. I never like being yelled at.

*The Speedway Bill: Having to go through a huge stack of gas receipts that are in van order but not in order by date always gives me a massive headache.

*Express Bags: I've made over 5,ooo of these things all by myself. (The tags that is) I have 11 binders full of forms!

*Filing: No thanks--boring.
