Thursday night was my first Rider's Edge course class out at GRHD. A tour of the place, meet and greet with others, and some studying out of the book. There are 10 students in the class, ages 16 through 60's (I'm guessing).
Everyone seems really nice and ready to learn except for one student I have nicknamed D*#$% Bag in stories with S. They were nice enough to place baskets of candy on the tables and had a cooler full of pop and water for everyone. Well, D Bag was pounding the boxes of Nerds (the little Halloween sized ones) like they were going out of style. In between text messaging on his phone. When we had to do the little interview part he didn't seem the least bit interested in being there and wondered to myself why he would shell out the $349 to take the class.
Friday night we have another class room session and Saturday is part classroom and part range time. Sunday is all day riding. I'm kind of nervous about the riding part and was trying to study the book last night to see if I could figure out the whole clutch, brake, throttle thing.
The instructors are really positive and are assuring everyone they will do great. So I'll keep you posted! :-)

Good luck! You're going to be a biker chick! One with some class though.
