Saturday to Sunday

All in all, despite the heat, it was a pretty good weekend.

Saturday I had to work. It was a slow day and after only answering the phone about 4 times (in close to 6 hours) I left early. Off to lounge around the house and soak up some A/C. The day got better from there though with an ice cream social at J's house. Nothing better then yummy tasty treats and some good conversation. Oh and of course pushing C on the swing and watching her move from point A to B with more energy then I can muster for Zumba in a month. We then enjoyed dinner and drinks at our favorite watering hole. Entertained by karoake, of course as watchers not participants.

Sunday is almost always grocery day. I did find the deal of the century when looking for a wide tooth comb. A Goody brand comb for (are you ready for this?) 10 cents!!!!!! S and I saw the price tag and thought for sure it was just marked wrong but low and behold it rang up 10 cents. I didn't think you could get anything at regular price for that cheap anymore. We then traveled to Lowe's to pick up our new slider and some other misc. things. Curlygirl's hubby was kind enough to come over and help S unload it out of the truck after much debate of how to get it from truck to deck without killing ourselves.

Then the stupid move of the day. S wanted to go for a bike ride (motor bike) I saw the radar and told him we had a narrow window to go. We drove East and started making our way back when the sky opened up. Luckily we were only about 15 minutes from home but boy did we get soaked!!!! I literally poured the water out of my shoes. We were good natured about it and were even laughing. But there is nothing worse then getting pelted with cold rain in the face.

We had a wonderful dinner. Beer can chicken on the grill with grilled sweet potato fries. We stayed up far to late watching a movie, Into the Wild. Not a bad movie but I bet the book was far better.
