Starting in September the D&W Culinary classes will begin again. I keep checking in hopes that they have posted the new schedule. The classes are held at the D&W in Grandville. And although they are on the pricey side it is so much fun. It is a hands on class and at the end you get to try everything that the students have prepared. They also send a packet home with you filled with all the recipes. So far I have tried the Tapas and Paella, New Orleans, Mexican, and Comfort Foods classes. The recipes are geared for beginners through advanced so you don't have to feel intimidated going in because they give you quite a variety to choose from.
I've been slacking in the cooking department over the summer. Due to lack of time and unbearable heat. Who wants to use the oven or stove, even in air conditioning, when all it will do is heat up the house more? So I'm ready to jump back in and start preparing some better meals and try some new recipes. Cooking to me is relaxing and fun. (As long as I'm not starving).
