I should have started on this exercise program a long time ago. Not to make excuses but the Winter is so unmotivating. I don't mind the cold too much (at least for the first couple of months) and the snow is pretty to look at. This though does not give me an excuse for the other seasons the past few years that I've been slacking on.
Let bygones be bygones and I'll start with a fresh slate now.
Zumba twice a week is going awesome!!!!! I just feel so much better and I sleep like a rock. I teach two lyrical classes on Wednesday which is another good workout. My 3-5 year old combination class is more mentally tiring then physically but still a workout. Especially when we do Animal Action and I get to pretend to be an elephant, horse, or my fav an alligator. And the days I don't have Zumba I've been trying to get a walk in......and do laundry, dishes, clean, make meals.
The hubby and I also decided to not have any adult beverages during the week. Not like I'm a lush and come home every night to booze it up. But usually a couple times a week I'll have a cocktail or two. This typically happened after a really stressful day at work or on dance nights. I'm proud to say this week that I stuck to that (even on Wednesday when I had yet another student added to my already large class).
Ideally I would love to lose 40 pounds and that is a tough number to say. My dog is 38 pounds so basically I need to lose enough pounds to equal the size of Cupid. Great. I don't check my weight every day I don't want to make this non fun. It's more about feeling and looking better. So I've only stepped on the scale once this week and I had lost 3 pounds. That was Tuesday so maybe I'll weight (ha ha get it?) until this weekend to check it again because I am curious if all this hard work is paying off.
