I've been slacking lately on the blogging. So going to do a quick run down and play catch up.
Friday highlights:
Day off.
Lounged in bed until 9:30ish and watched a dvr'd episode of 90210 (the old school version).
Zumba class in the afternoon.
A 2 hour Zumbathon from 7:00-9:00 at night. It was fun but extremely hot and crowded. I wore my hip hop shoes, as I normally do, and completely regretted it. Even with arch supports in them they still hurt my feet. And I mean to the point where I couldn't put my right foot flat. I had to walk on the ball of my foot. VERY painful. After hobbling around the house to shower and get my pj's on I sat on the couch and iced the bottoms of my feet for about an hour and a half, rubbed Flex-All over my arches and went to bed.
Saturday highlights:
After work I lounged on the couch and tried to take a nap.
Showered and got myself beautified for date night. Despite Aunt Flow deciding to take a visit and show up 3 days early (I think due to my diligent exercising lately) I still very badly wanted to go out instead of staying planted to the couch.
We had dinner reservations at Shang Hai Ichiban. We had not been there since we went with Curlygirl and her husband many moons ago. If you have not been here I highly recommend! They cook your food right in front of you on a hibachi and the chef does tricks while he cooks your food. It's a bit on the pricey side but well worth it for the amount of food that you get.
After dinner and fruity drinks (with umbrellas!) we went to a Pink Floyd laser light show at the planetarium I'm not a huge fan of Pink Floyd but it was neat to watch. Plus we were looking for something different to do and I had not been to a show there for about 12 years.
After the show we went home to play the Wii for a short while before sauntering off to bed. I guess once you get in your 30's date night doesn't have to be all that exciting.
Sunday highlights:
The hubby got the new vertical blinds up!!!!! We have privacy again after two?? years. The trim is nearly done but we are battling with a gap that needs to be filled due to the fact that the new slider is a tad smaller then the old slider.
Groceries and two trips to Menards were also accomplished. A fish fry for dinner. And we finally watched Justified. Great show!
