Weekend update

After work Saturday S and I ran some errands. One of the gift cards I won is for a jewelry store down on Leonard. I have a ring that my great-grandma gave me she got when she was 12, she would have turned 97 this year. So it is an old ring!

The band broke awhile back and I never got around to having it fixed. The clerk at the store said they can soder the band but after examining it under a microscope she said it would also need new prongs. So I told her to fix that too. I never even knew if the diamond in it was real but she confirmed that is it is.

So Saturday I can pick the ring up. I'm excited to get it back. It's a very antique looking ring and I always got compliments on it whenever I wore it.

After the stop at the jewelers we went to Klingman's (with another gc that I won). We were hoping to find a kitchen cart that matched the color of our table. But as luck had it we were not able to find any kitchen carts, whatsoever. And this is a huge store, we're talking 3 floors filled wall to wall.

So we left frustrated and went to Applebees. Yup with more gc's. These were a gift though. There was absolutely no where to park and after driving around for a good 15 minutes we left and went home. Waited a half hour then decided to try again. Second time around we were able to find parking.

Sunday we had lunch at Logan's. We met a coworker of the hubby's and his wife and kids. He is home from Iraq for two weeks and wanted to catch up with S so they decided to introduce the wives and bring us along two.

Logan's was actually their suggestion. They had never been and had a gift card. And after all that talk of Logan's last week I was actually kind of disappointed in my meal. But conversation was good and it was nice to meet his wife and kids.
