I finally took down the Christmas decorations on and around the front door today. I think I could hear the neighbors cheering as I did this. I was sick of looking at them myself but was waiting for a warmer day to get out there and take them down. I noticed as I was out there that some of my bulbs are poking through the ground. Yeah for Spring! I can't wait to work outside in the yard and in my gardens again.
I put a Spring wreath on the back door. Just one made of fake flowers that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. (Great place for cheap decorations. Always huge sales.)
I picked up all the trash out of the yard that had accumulated over the Winter and tackled the fun task of poop scooping.
I've decided I am putting the corduroys away. No more Winter pants. Although I am not busting the skirts out yet, I just can't take another day of wearing them. I am keeping the sweaters out for now. At least the no close front ones and cardigans, always good for layering on these still chilly mornings.
This week is going fast and I am loving it! Monday I taught dance. Tuesday I had an early day at work. So after dropping our taxes off I went to my parents house to visit and play with my brother's soon to be step-son. He's four and he loves when I come over to play. I think my parent's enjoy this to because it gives them a break. Tonight S and I went and grabbed a bite to eat before he went into work. Outside of that I am staying home. Tired. In fact I have a headache. I should be doing the dishes. I need to be doing my nails. But I think a blanket and the tv is going to win in the end.

Our yard is the hottest of messes and I am feeling twitchy to get out there and rake up the twigs and soggy leaves.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wish I had bulb sprouts, but the squirrels in our neighborhood are ruthless (and as large as cats) so I've stopped planting them in the fall.
