Bits of Randomness

  • This week went fast, hope the weekend goes slow.
  • I made raspberry truffle fudge and toffee, both for the first time, and they turned out excellent.
  • Wednesday my boss bought the office lunch from TGI Friday's. Fajita platter and caeser salad platter.
  • Extremely tired at the moment. Not sure if it's because I am hungry or because I stayed up too late last night, or both.
  • Part of me wants to go out for dinner and not cook anything at home. The other part of me just wants to curl up on the couch and go to sleep.
  • My brother and sister in law are fostering a baby that they hope to adopt. She is two months old. It is my sister in law's neice. Her sister has until November to get her act together or they get to adopt the baby. She cannot have kids and I am so excited for the both of them. I can not wait to meet her.
  • It's nice having two weeks off from dance. I actually worked on dance recital stuff yesterday. So unlike me to touch dance stuff during break.
  • Christmas Eve we are going to East Lansing. First to the hubby's brother's house. They will not have the baby but his six year old will be there. Afterwards we are going to S's mom's house. (Long story on why my brother and sister in law will not be going.) However his grandparents will be coming over. It will be nice to see his grandparents but outside of that I am not exactly thrilled to be going.
  • Saturday afternoon we are going to my parent's house. My brothers will be there also. That I am looking forward to. My parents always cook a ton of food, we open presents then hang out and enjoy each other's company. Very relaxing.
  • I am really bummed that we will not be getting any more snow before Christmas. I do enjoy a white Christmas, makes everything look so pretty and festive.
  • Have the day off tomorrow and not sure how to spend my time until we leave for EL.
  • Off to do more laundry......

  1. Hope you had a great Christmas! Thanks so much for your thoughtful Christmas gifts for the kids........ "Hello, I'm Cinderella" is stuck in my head. She really likes the necklace. A LOT. Guess I will have to find something REALLY special for Cupid..... perhaps a dog food dish that that plays a "cute" message every time she eats from it...... ;)
