As I write this the smell of carrot cake is taking over the house. S had asked me a couple of weekends ago, rather randomly, if I'd make carrot cake. I'm not much of a baker but made carrot cake for a co worker's birthday once and it turned out marvelous. Sooooo I gave it another go.
Made a trip to Target this morning with a list of things to get: birthday gift for soon-to-be four year old, leggings, tights, cream cheese and chopped pecans.
I walked out with said list and only an additional black zip up sweatshirt (on sale) and t-shirt (on clearance).
While debating in the toy department on what to get someone turning four (and with all the cute stuff out now days it sure it hard). I came across something I thought would be fun, cute and entertaining. Until-----I saw a disclaimer that said KEEP AWAY FROM CHILD'S HAIR. I immediately put the item back on the shelf and walked away after visions of it being stuck in her hair flashed through my mind. Um no, I don't want to be known as that person.
It made me think of this truck my brother had about her age or maybe a bit older. It had claws on the wheels and one day it went over my brother's blanket and became completely entwined around the wheels. Of course he was screaming and crying because "his blankie" was now a tangled mess. My mom was able to save the blanket but the truck soon disappeared.
