Tuesday turkey talk

I took the time at the end of last week to go through my cookbooks and recipes and find some oldies but goodies and some newbies to try.

For last night's dinner I made Manicotti. Tonight is Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. Both oldies. I'm thinking leftovers on Wednesday. And for Thursday Rachael Ray's Green Eggs and Ham.. A new recipe that I am excited to try. Not sure on Friday yet, perhaps Salmon Burgers.

Other odds and ends:

I have Thursday off. The weather will decide what I do with the day. Crappy and cool, antique mall in Douglas. Sunny and warm, yard work and perhaps plant some flowers or get down some wood chips down.

I yelled at a neighborhood kid yesterday. (She does not hold on to her dog's leash and lets it run all over people's yards and up into their driveways. Her dog decided to visit the neighbor's dog, Cupid went crazy barking through the back door screen and I had to pull her away. Before I slammed the door shut I said "you should keep your dog out of people's driveways. It's pretty rude!") She grabbed the chain, went around my neighbor's tree and let go of the chain again. UGH! I need to move to the country.

It's been nearly 14 months since my last vacation and I can't wait for the next one. I believe I have 80-some days to go. But the guest house has been booked and paid for, now I need to go on the hunt for a rental car. I don't want Summer to fly by but I REALLY need a break from work.
