We have not been up to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes since 2004 and finally made it up there Labor Day weekend. The weather was marvelous and although we didn't make it into the dunes until around 3:00 we still had a great time.
We rode up with K (S's friend from high school) and Lucy (his pitbull) and trailored S's truck. We then left K's truck in the parking lot and drove S's truck into the dunes.
There were trucks, dirt bikes, quades and the occasional car, mini van, etc as far as the eyes could see in every direction. It was definitely a great way to "end" the Summer.
Looks like so much fun! The weather wasn't too shabby either, huh.
