Had the day off from work yesterday and of course I still woke up at my normal time. The hubby was up getting ready for work so I knew there was not a chance that I would fall back to sleep.
So I made myself a cappuccino on my new espresso machine. (Loving it!) Checked my email. Then slowly showered, dressed and got ready for the day.
Hit up the bank drive up to deposit my check (it took forever) then stopped at the credit union to make a car payment (again took forever). Stopped at the Dollar Tree to find out that they are closed for remodeling. So the errands didn't start out to great.
Next D&W to pick up some ingredients to make potato soup in the crock pot. (Turned out delish! And enjoyed using a crock pot that actually worked correctly).
So I made the soup, a batch of chocolate chip cookies, wrapped up a Christmas/Birthday gift I needed to mail out to a friend from the hubby (And I wrapped it half with Christmas paper and half with birthday paper. HA! Can't wait to hear his reaction) And swiffered up the floor.
Dropped the gift off to the post office, stopped at the Speedway station to grab a water and turn in some winning scratch offs and headed to my parent's house.
Gave my mom her bday gift and visit with the 'rents for awhile. My brother stopped by with his dog (I want to kidnap and take home).
Got home at 7:00, the hubby got home shortly after, enjoyed some soup and dvr'd shows and called it a night.
