Sunday we participated in the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies Ride. It was a great day and such a fun way to raise money for an outstanding cause. Plus, the money stays local and hopefully one day will find the reason for the 500,000 babies born prematurely each year.
It was a 70 mile ride around Gun Lake and the surrounding area with a stop at the Gilmore Car Museum. They had a muscle car show going on and we were allowed 45 minutes to look around and take a break.
After the stop at the Car museum we headed back to the racetrack for lunch sponsored by Texas Roadhouse. For $10 people could sign up for unlimited drag racing on the race track so we had a great show with both cars and bikes racing each other on the track.
They estimated around 1,000 bikers (double from last year) and 40 cars. I can't wait for their final numbers come out, it sounds like they should have surpassed their goal. What a great time, I look forward to next year!
